Snow Day!!!!

We finally got some good snow here in Boise! Makenzie was SO excited, she knew just what it was and couldn't wait to get out in it. We invited her cousins over to play with her. Austin, Andra and Talmadge were all great sports and had so much fun with her. They really take good care of her.

Dad was right there with her which was SO cute.
Here's Austin striking his best. He and Andra built Makenzie a cute little fort and took our garden spades and dug around with them.

How cute is Talmadge!? He really wanted to be out there!!

As much as you fight it....

No matter how hard you try to not imprint your little girl on something, some things are just born right into them:)
She has never owned a Princess thing in her WHOLE life, but when her little friend Aliyha had an extra Princess dress, she knew just what to do with it:) She is a little bigger than her friend, so she filled it out a little "better":)

Up goes the tree.....

Putting up the tree this year was SO much more fun than last year. Makenzie really liked being a part of it. She and Drew were so cute to watch putting all the decorations on the tree. Every morning we come down she counts to 3 and watches the tree "magically" light up. She giggles every time. This year is so much fun because she really gets it.

A couple of times a day she will go over to the tree and touch a color and "put it in her hand" and bring it over to me and say " Here mommy, you get a green one today"... I love it:)

Festival of Trees

We had so much fun the day after Thanksgiving!! Drew and I and our good friends all took our kids to the Festival of Trees. The kids had so much fun! Makenzie kept yelling "sparkly trees"!! She thought they were great!
The of course there was the tree that trumped them all.... The Mickey Mouse Tree. Oh wow, did she love that one!

There was a wheel all the kids could spin and win a prize that was pretty fun.
There was an hour in the middle were different dancers preformed... she LOVED it. Really, I was so surprised how long she sat there and watched them. Then she tried to start dancing like them. It was so cute.
As we were leaving, this "Christmas Bear" was running around and Makenzie RAN to it. She wanted to hug it SO bad. I tell ya, no fear there. The small red pants you can barley see is her. It was pretty funny. She did it twice.

A New Big Girl Bed!

We finally did it and pulled the trigger. We got Makenzie a big girl bed. I was so nervous to do it because she is such an awesome sleeper I didn't want anything to change:). Good news for us is that she was a super star. She never even got out of her bed once to come out. She slept SO good at night, even better than before. (How does one not when going from a rock hard mattress to a nice soft one?)
She does like to get up and get different stuffed animals out at night to sleep with, but hey if that is as bad as it gets, I'm lucky:) I love that I can sit on her bed now next to her and snuggle:)

Disney on Ice!!

Oh my goodness, what an amazing night. We got tickets to Disney on Ice, and long story short we took my niece Andra with us. We had seats on the balcony, which weren't bad. Makenzie wore her Mickey shirt, and Andra wore her Mickey ears. While we were waiting for the show to start, we were approached by a lady that worked there and she asked us if we wanted to sit on the floor! We went down and got to sick in the second row from the ice, it was awesome! Makenzie was SO excited when Mickey came out she stared clapping and yelling for him. It was so cute!
If you look at Andra and Makenzie's face this is where there was a loud bang and one of the "bad guys" came popping out. I couldn't help but giggle a little:)

Mickey was in the air balloon, which was cool:)Here we are on our way home, two tired, but very happy girls:)

Halloween!

I know it's a late post, but with the move, I lost the cord to download pics:(. No need to fear now, we found it and we are back in business.
We are blessed to be back in Boise now, for this and the rest of the holidays. We went over to my sisters house and my niece Andra helped Makenzie trick or treat. She had SO much fun. She dressed up as a polar bear. It was so nice outside, I think it was a little too warm. Our poor little girl was dripping sweat! She made it until almost 10 but then she was DONE:)
This is at the end of the night, her hair was dripping with sweat. She had such a great time though:).

Going out with a bang!

This weekend we had the best time! My sister Kimberly and Matt and Talmadge came up to spend one of our last weekends here with us. It was the weekend of The Trailing of the Sheep and the Fall Festival. We had so much fun with them. The kids really were troopers in the COLD COLD, snowy weather, but they had a blast too.

Here we are on the horse wagon ride. Makenzie thought it was so awesome that horses were actually pulling us!

Here "T" man is going FIRST with the face painting so that Makenzie was brave enough to do it. They looked so cute together!!
The day after, we went early morning to Sun Valley to watch the Trailing of the Sheep. That is where they bring down all the sheep from the mountains through the middle of town to lower parts of the valley. It sounds really redneck I know, but it is so fun. They have a parade as well with all types of dancers. Makenzie acutally loved the dancers most (thats my girl!:)) . Lots of pics, so I will put them in a slide show, except a few of my favs:)
The boys made the kids chicken fight:)

Here the boys are enjoying the new Wii we just bought. If nothing else, the money was well spent to get this video! :)

Thank you Kim and Matt for such an awesome, memorable weekend! We really loved having you here. What a great way to leave this place we love!
